Disney Weddings On Board the Disney Treasure: What We know So Far

Writer's picture: Christine GraceChristine Grace

Early bookings for the Disney Treasure are officially open and we couldn’t be more excited! The Disney Treasure will be an exciting new addition for the Disney Cruise Line fleet and has something for every explorer. Inspired with adventure in mind, guests will be transported into the worlds of their favorite movies, from Marvel, Coco, the Lion King, Zootopia, and more. There will even be nods towards some of Disney Parks most beloved attractions. The Treasure is an excellent choice for any couple who wants to take a leap together towards their next great adventure.

Itineraries:

The Disney Treasure currently offers 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries and is taking over the Disney Fantasy's current schedule. This is different from the Disney Wish, which currently only offers 3-4 night sailings. The Treasure is a great option for any couple who has sailed before and wants to have a longer sailing for their special day.

Keep in mind, future brides and grooms will have to make a cruise reservation prior to adding on a Disney Wedding package. Although her maiden voyage is set for December 21st, 2024, weddings and vow renewals on board the Disney Treasure will begin taking place February 8, 2025.

The Grand Hall- A Disney Fairytale Weddings venue:

Like each of the ships before her, the Treasure will follow suit by having the Grand Hall as one of the DFTW venue options. Although the Treasure is a sister ship to the Wish, the Grand Hall of the Treasure will trade in the "fairy tale" vibes for a distinct look of mystery and adventure. Based on current renderings, the Disney Treasure will feature a Grand Hall that leans into a palette of deep blue, turquoise and gold, with a design inspired by gilded palaces from faraway places such as Asia and Africa — including the city of Agrabah from Disney's "Aladdin." The statue in the Grand Hall will feature Jasmine, Aladdin and Magic Carpet as they fly towards a new adventure.

This venue can accommodate up to 40 guests and starts at $5,000.

Castaway Cay wedding venues:

After the grand reveal of the Disney Treasure, many were disappointed to hear that Lighthouse point was not in the cards currently for the newest ship. Although this could change in the future, it does give us two more current Disney Treasure wedding venues to add to the list: Wedding Pointe and Castaway Cay wedding beach.

Both venues are options for the couple who wish to have a beach wedding. Keep in mind that this wedding venue is subject to change in the event of poor weather or last minute itinerary changes.

Other Venue Options:

There are no other confirmed venue options for the Treasure at this moment. Like the Wish, it will be awhile before anyone, even the wedding coordinators, know more about other options.

The Wish was the first of the Triton class ships and certainly changed the rules when it came to weddings. When we were planning our own wedding, much was still left undecided and in the air due to the different layout of the new class of ships. Even now, the Disney wedding website has nothing concrete to say about Disney Wish wedding venues.

While the new layout made it more difficult for DFTW to make concrete decisions on venues, it has been over a year since the Wish has made its maiden voyage and we can make some good guesses about potential venues by comparing the two ships and using what we know from other Wish weddings.

One of the known venues for the Disney Wish since the beginning is the Bayou, a bar themed after Princess and the Frog. We had our own personal reception in the Bayou after our Grand Hall Wish wedding in November. We absolutely loved the Bayou as our reception location. The twinkle lights hidden within the foliage on the ceiling was perfect for a romantic first dance.

In its place on the Disney Treasure, Skipper Society nods to the iconic Jungle Cruise ride at Disney Parks. In honor of the original attraction, and following a similar naturalistic theme to the Bayou bar on the wish, the plants seen throughout the Skipper Society on the Disney Treasure will be the same foliage species thriving in Disneyland. The green and red tones depicted on the walls of Skipper Society will be exact color matches to the Jungle Cruise attraction marquee at Magic Kingdom. This venue would be the perfect location for any couple who loves the Disney Parks and the iconic ride.

Although not much is known about the Treasure yet, the grand reveal made quite a splash. The new themes and restaurants gives us much to be excited for. From all we know already, it is clear that this ship is going to cater to adventure-seeking Disney fans who have a love for the nostalgic movies, such as Aladdin, Peter Pan, and The Lion King, and attractions like Jungle Cruise. We are certainly eager to hear more about the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line Triton class. From honeymoons to vow renewals and weddings, the Disney Treasure is sure to be a magical backdrop for the start to your newest adventure.
